Illegal Alien Charged With Murdering Homeless Man

PROVO, UT – An 18-year-old charged with murder after reportedly killing a transient man has pleaded not guilty to his crimes.

The suspect, Enmanuel DePaz, was in the Fourth District Court before Judge Darold McDade on Tuesday and Wednesday as his preliminary hearing was held. Witnesses testified and exhibits were presented, arguing both for and against DePaz’s defense.

Ultimately, McDade found there was enough probable cause to bind the case over and prepare for trial. In response, DePaz entered not guilty pleas to eight charges.

DePaz is charged with one first-degree felony of murder, two second-degree felonies of obstructing justice, two third-degree felonies of possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person, one third-degree felony of possession of a forgery writing device, one class A misdemeanor of possession of a deadly weapon, and one class A misdemeanor of obstruction of justice.   More.....
