The Republican Establishment is in panic mode following the Trump victories on Super Tuesday. They are desperately seeking some avenue to block Donald Trump's path to the Republican nomination for president. They would block the will of the people, because they believe the average voter is stupid. It is them, not the voters who know what's best for America. And they are determined to thwart the will of the people!
