Obama's Birth: The True Story!

Unidentified sources inside the White House are quietly revealing, what has just been a rumor up until this time, that Obama may have indeed been born in Kenya. It is believed that these revelations are coming now, as a result of the ongoing effort by some groups to get the original copy of his birth certificate made public. At this moment the complete details are sketchy, but some details are emerging. It now appears that Ann Dunham (Mrs Barack Hussein Obama, Sr) had returned to Kenya with her husband of only 6 month in mid-July of 1961 to meet members of his Kenyan family. It is thought that while on this visit Ann Dunham learned of Obama seniors earlier marriage to a woman named Kezia in 1954 and that the two were the parents of four children. According to White House sources Ann, distraught and shaken leaves the senior Obama and goes to the nearby capital city of Nairobi and fearing for her life at that time seeks refuse at the American Embassy there. At first the embassy officials were somewhat reluctant to admit the young wife, but upon hearing her story of the death threats leveled at her by the family of Kezia, Barack seniors true wife they decide to give the young obviously pregnant girl asylum in the embassy. According to recently released embassy records the embassy was over-flowing with American nationals at that particular time due to a sharp spike in black nationalist activities directed at whites in the country. Because of over-crowding in the embassy proper, Ann was given shelter in a small shed in the rear of the embassy, a shed formerly reserved for livestock. The livestock had been removed several months before. It was in this former stable, that Ann unexpectedly gives birth to Barack Hussein Obama II, the current President of the United States. The anonymous sources at the White House are quick to point out two things: first, President Obama was born on American soil (U.S. Embassy grounds are considered under international agreements to be part of the United States); second, the ONE was born in a stable (the source was quick to emphasize this fact) for what reason we are not sure! Finally the issue is settled, Obama was born on American soil with his humble beginnings in a stable---the message here well I'll leave that to you!

Rights Like Sands in the Hour Glass

While commenting on an article by James on Right On concerning the Constitution and gun rights I began to think about all the rights I have seen slip away over the years. The following is the comment I left on "Right On":

The constitution is clear on gun ownership rights, but slowly over many years the state and federal governments have steadily and methodically chipped away at those rights as they have with other basic rights that we once had. Rights that the young don't even miss because they never experienced them. Sometime I see our rights, our freedoms, and our liberty's slipping away like sands in the hour glass. Once that freedom, that right is gone it does NOT return. It's gone forever and all the complaining and the moaning will never get it back. As the sands of the hour glass get lower and lower one can more easily see the change--the movement seems quicker although the rate remains the same. It's just that the remaining freedoms and rights are fewer and the loss of even one is sorely missed and more become aware of the approaching emptiness. If we are not careful this emptiness will be filled by something that is totally alien to our American way of life, something that will repress individuality, something that will stifle our remaining values, and something that will crush our children's future.

Utopia and The Socialist

Last night while channel surfing I can across an old movie made back in the 1930's. Never caught the name, but did watch enough to grasp the theme. It was the old Utopian idea wrapped in the 1930's Hollywood love affair with communism and fascism, something that many today have either forgotten or never knew about. The movie got me to thinking about our present day situation and how it related to socialism, the state and Utopian thinking.

Most men dream of Utopia, their own personal utopia. The socialist also dreams of utopia, his vision of what every man should want. One dreams of a better life for himself and his family, the other plans on how to make HIS dream for others a reality. These two visions , at first glance, sound similar but the difference is staggering. The first sounds self-centered, but actually its the latter that falls into that category. One man, simply wants to live his life and go his own way, the other has what I call the herd mentality and must seek to control the lives of others in the group. And he will continually attempt to get those around him to adopt what his perceives to be "the right way". This puts the first man at a distinct disadvantage in this ongoing struggle. A good analogy would be a tug-a-war between two with one just trying to hold his position while the other attempts to pull him to his side. The outcome would, at first glance, appear to be obvious; however the first man does have one advantage---individual initiative. While those on the other side, for the most part are only the followers of some almost mystic leader.

Socialism, almost seems a victim of these leaders. They invariably pop up during times of economic turmoil and hardship. They present themselves as the ones with the solutions to the complicated problems of the day. And the masses hungry for answers, give these leaders the power to project their ideas, into some form of action. Usually the changes are sweeping and draconian, and enacted with little or no debate and the results at first are pleasing to the common man. But the leaders of these movements, being the Utopians they are, never seem to be satisfied with the changes they have brought about. For they are seeking a world that doesn't exist, except in their own minds. Not being able to bring about the changes they have dreamed of, they will turn to more and more desperate measures and in the end theirs will become a repressive and totalitarian state.

The quest for utopia can be a noble goal. One should, however always keep one thing in mind, "one man's Utopia is another man's hell."

Obama & TOTUS

The sad truth is now coming out about our new president, the great orator. He is totally lost without his best friend and his constant companion TOTUS. In case you missed it TeleprOmpTer of the U S. Yes you've got it now--our real president is not Obama but TOTUS. Have you noticed, when this great orator speaks extemporaneously he is totally lost---a babbling fool. True Bush was a bad speaker, but at least he could speak off the cuff. This idiot, this incompetent is absolutely left groping for words without his friend TOTUS.

I use to think he was a great snake-oil salesman, but in the past few weeks I've come to the conclusion that he is not even that. This man, this great orator, this great tingle going up Chris Matthews leg couldn't sale virgins to a terrorist---unless he had TOTUS with him. Obama's handlers have created a myth and I'm afraid, a monster, that may in the end consume us all.

Handcuffing the CIA

Late last night while leaving a comment on Dread Pundit I found myself getting a little carried away in the comment box. I sometimes do that. Usually I don't have time to leave lengthy comments, but on this issue of torture and the sworn duty of the president to protect us a left a longer than usually comment. I'll share it with you now.

"What is or what isn't torture is the question. A question without a clear answer. The question should be will rough interrogation save hundreds or even thousands of lives and if so do we do it. It is the sworn duty of the president to defend Americans not to protect the rights of foreign nationals who may have vital information necessary to carry out that duty. Obama recently made a statement at one of his many public appearances and said, (I have to paraphrase): Yes information was obtained the question is could we have gotten it without harsh methods. This was without a doubt the most ignorant statements one in his position could make and no one member of the press called him on it. The implication of his answer was that the CIA interrogators immediately went to harsh methods when they started questioning the terrorist. That is not how things are done and Obama is aware of that. The CIA does not use harsh methods until all other measures have been exhausted. And as for the terrorist giving misleading information---of course that happens, but the information is checked out and if it is incorrect the CIA goes after the prisoner again and again and finally they get the truth. And in many cases lives are saved as a result of their efforts. To take this tool away from us is to condemn some Americans, not to torture, but to death at sometime in the future. This in not acceptable, this would be a criminal act on the part of the president and a violation of the oath he took. And if such an unthinkable thing should occur the president should be impeached and put on trial in the Senate and the country at that time would applaud that action. Obama may be able to walk on water, but he is skating on thin ice by restricting the actions of those who try to defend us. If he continues to listen to those voices on the far left, the voices coming from a vocal minority, the voices of the hate America crowd, the voices of weakness and appeasement Americans may die and their deaths will be on the hands of this indecisive weakling".

The Real Obama

The longer President Obama is in office the more he shows, not the moderation he campaigned on, but his true political ideology and that is one who believes in those of doctrines championed by the far left. Sadly it does not stop there, he is now revealing the black radicalism that is embedded in his character. When he campaigned he was the one who would bring an open administration into Washington and stated he would reach out to those on the right and be a president for all Americans. He has already failed here. And as the truths are revealed about him, gradually he is discarding the mask hiding his true identity. All of the programs he is seeking to force on the American people center more and more power with a vastly expanding federal government with greater power invested in the executive branch, with fewer and fewer over-sights given to Congress---enter the Tsars! When traveling abroad he uses every opportunity to trash America and his apologies to foreign governments, for what he sees as America's past transgressions, are breath-taking. He seems to see America as the Iranian leaders do---the great Satan. Yes, he is part of the lefts "blame America" crowd. He seeks to befriend Americas enemies while pushing away our friends---Israel and Honduras to name but two. At every turn he is weakening the foundations of a strong America--whether his actions are deliberate or unintentional is not important, the result will be the same. He is driving a knife into the very heart of the American economy, with his Keynesian economics---economics that have failed or produced few positive results anywhere in the world. His action toward fast moving events on the international scene are slow and indecisive, unless those events are threatening leftist regimes such as in Honduras---where he moved quickly in an attempt to re-install a would-be leftest dictator. I use to think, this ignorant fool was indecisive, but have come to realize all of his actions are governed by his extreme leftest ideology. And they are calculating. Recently, he condemned police for their action against a black college professor siteing past grievances. He never waited for the evidence to develop in this case, because he had a preconceived opinions on this case. Yes, he is also part of the blame whitey black community and his action in this case show his true position on race relations in this country. He is in the same group as Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, the only difference being his has far greater power to act on his beliefs. There is little doubt in my mind that this man is a black racist of the worst kind despite his lofty rhetoric on race relations. With professor Harry Gates, he thought he could slip by, but the truth came out and the story was getting out of control. So the professor was abandon and thrown under the bus just as Reverend Wright was before him. When he friends are exposed he dumps them so that the masses in this country will not see the real face behind the mask he wears. Well the mask is wearing thin and glimpses of the true radical, the real racist are being exposed and soon many will see his true identity.

The Old Man

The Old Man...

As I came out of the supermarket that sunny day, pushing my cart of groceries towards my car, I saw an old man with the hood of his car up and a lady sitting inside the car, with the door open.

The old man was looking at the engine. I put my groceries away in my car and continued to watch the old gentleman from about 25 feet away.

I saw a young man in his early twenties with a grocery bag in his arm, walking towards the old man. The old gentleman saw him coming too, and took a few steps towards him. I saw the old gentleman point to his open hood and say something.

The young man put his grocery bag into what looked like a brand new Cadillac Escalade and then turn back to the old man and I heard him yell at the old gentleman saying, 'You shouldn't even be allowed to drive a car at your age.' And then with a wave of his hand, he got in his car and peeled rubber out of the parking lot.

I saw the old gentleman pull out his handkerchief and mop his brow as he went back to his car and again looked at the engine. He then went to his wife and spoke with her and appeared to tell her it would be okay. I had seen enough and I approached the old man. He saw me coming and stood straight and as I got near him I said, 'Looks like you're having a problem.'

He smiled sheepishly and quietly nodded his head. I looked under the hood myself and knew that whatever the problem was, it was beyond me. Looking around I saw a gas station up the road and told the old man that I would be right back. I drove to the station and went inside and saw three attendants working on cars. I approached one of them and related the problem the old man had with his car and offered to pay them if they could follow me back down and help him.

The old man had pushed the heavy car under the shade of a tree and appeared to be comforting his wife. When he saw us, he straightened up and thanked me for my help. As the mechanics diagnosed the problem (overheated engine) I spoke with the old gentleman.

When I shook hands with him earlier, he had noticed my Marine Corps ring and had commented about it, telling me that he had been a Marine too. I nodded and asked the usual question, 'What outfit did you serve with?'

He had mentioned that he served with the first Marine Division at Tarawa, Saipan, Iwo Jimaand Guadalcanal. He had hit all the big ones and retired from the Corps after the war was over. As we talked we heard the car engine come on and saw the mechanics lower the hood.. They came over to us as the old man reached for his wallet, but was stopped by me and I told him I would just put the bill on my AAA card.

He still reached for the wallet and handed me a card that I assumed had his name and address on it and I stuck it in my pocket.. We all shook hands all around again and I said my goodbye's to his wife. I then told the two mechanics that I would follow them back up to the station. Once at the station I told them that they had interrupted their own jobs to come along with me and help the old man. I said I wanted to pay for the help, but they refused to charge me.

One of them pulled out a card from his pocket looking exactly like the card the old man had given to me. Both of the men told me then, that they were Marine Corps Reserves. Once again we shook hands all around and as I was leaving, one of them told me I should look at the card the old man had given to me. I said I would and drove off.

For some reason I had gone about two blocks when I pulled over and took the card out of my pocket and looked at it for a long, long time. The name of the old gentleman was on the card in golden leaf and under his name....... 'Congressional Medal of Honor Society.'

I sat there motionless looking at the card and reading it over and over.

I looked up from the card and smiled to no one but myself and marveled that on this day, four Marines had all come together, because one of us needed help. He was an old man all right, but it felt good to have stood next to greatness and courage and an honor to have been in his presence.

Remember, OLD men like him gave you FREEDOM for America . Thanks to those who served....& those who supported them.

The New Liberal "House Nigger"

The left in the United States today is the party of a new racism. Most in the Democratic party maintain their power not by helping the black man, but by keeping him down and in his place, as they see it. Because this in the only way they can hope to maintain control and support, because the successful black man in this country is far less likely to be a pawn of the so-called liberal causes than the traditional ghetto black or blacks working for various governmental agencies. In reality, when most blacks lift themselves out of the ghetto they turn away from liberal causes and beliefs, these blacks have found that reliance on self and not on government is the road to real freedom. The left however, feels that the handouts they offer is the best way to maintain control. Because by giving someone something, something they do not have to work for, the spirit to work to succeed is stifled. The old axiom comes into play, "why work for something when it is given to you". Sadly most in the black areas sit with out-stretched hands waiting for the next handout from those on the left who are eager to give it in order to maintain control. Those whites on the left are the new plantation owners in modern America and only a few blacks will rise to the level of the "House Nigger", the rest---the vast majority will remain forever in the eyes of leftist-elitists---"Field Hands". And the new "Uncle Tom's", are those blacks who have risen to the position of "House Nigger" and maintain the typical liberal position of blaming "Whitey" for the woes of the oppressed "Field Hands". Welcome to Obama's post-racial America!

Then the words flowed from the magic pool to the mouth of the great Witch Doctor. The words were clear, clear as the sparkling pool from which they came. And all ears were in tune to the sounds of the great one as he echoed the crys of the Yeswecan bird---freemed, freemed, freemed. When nearing the end of his flowing words a mighty Polemaetus Bellicosus (the great bird of truth), was seen circling overhead and the crys of the great bird were heard by the elders---whowillpay, whowillpay, whowillpay. The liberal state government in California knows only one thing, spend-spend-spend its their answer to any problem they see, in short its the liberal way. The government of California has thrown out the welcome mat to any illegal who find his way to the "Nanny" state. The state offers them medical services, social welfare programs and just about anything they want. Is it any wonder most stay in the Nanny state. For years California has been on the cutting edge of many liberal programs, unrealistic CAFE programs(which the Obama administration has now adopted), no reform of welfare programs(when almost ever other state has adopted welfare reform) and a multitude of radical environmental programs(which are draining the states coffers). The state government in California has caved-in to labor and those on the public dole and gives those two groups many special benefits which in the end cost the other citizens of the Nanny state billions of dollars each year, and at the same time prevents businesses such as WalMart and others from locating in the state and providing the consumers with lower prices. The government of California has even tried to impose eating standards on its citizens, because some feel the government has a duty to determine how the average citizen should conduct their lives. In short, the people of California have had their state ruined by a handful of semi-socialist(we know whats best for you) bureaucrats in the state house in Sacramento. I also suspect that the Obama administration is now considering bailing out the state since this state more than any other has policies in place that mirror the policies that the administration in Washington is attempting to install nationwide. Therefore, it cannot let this state fail, because failure there would send a signal that the policies of the Obama administration will lead to a similar nationwide failure.

Gun Lies

As usual the media elite have their own agenda and the truth is not part of it. It is stupefying when you think about it. I never had the numbers on the weapons in Mexico used by the cartels, but I knew that most of their weapons were of the fully automatic type. Weapons that are not available here on the open market. In fact weapons that are illegal for most Americans to own. Simple me, I knew these things, but the so-called reports who supposedly have many sources cannot even figure this out. I also realized that many weapons were coming up from central America. The anti-gun lobby along with the drive-by media have an agenda here and truth to the American people is not high on their list.

In Reality, Nearly Ninety Percent of Mexican Cartel Weapons DON'T Come From U.S.

Apparently, America’s love of firearms has not rubbed off on our Mexican neighbors quite as much as the mainstream media led us to believe.

It has been widely reported that 90 percent of the weapons used in the Mexican drug cartel wars come from America. As it turns out, that statistic is simply incorrect. According to the figures obtained from ICE and ATF officials by Fox News, only about 17 percent of the weapons recovered from cartel-related crime scenes in Mexico actually originate in the United States.

Correspondent William LaJeunesse in an April 2 report (first aired at 12:27PM, then a shorter segment with an ATF agent at 2:55PM:

According to the Mexican Attorney General, in the last two years, they've recovered about thirty thousand, twenty-nine thousand weapons in Mexico. They have submitted about only one-third of those to the United States for tracing. And according to testimony that we have from the special agent in charge, in Phoenix, of the ATF, only about six thousand of those were successfully traced, and about ninety percent of those came from the U.S. But basically, the bottom line here is that according to our figures, which we got from them, eighty-three percent of the guns that have been recovered in Mexico at these crime scenes are not from the United States.

One might ask how the United States Secretary of State might have made such an error in her math.

LaJeunesse explains:

Well one reason is, it's basically the sampling issue. Number one, Mexico is finding guns at the crime scene which may have no markings at all. They may be clearly Chinese or Russian weapons, and so they are not submitting those to the United States for, quote, tracing. A U.S. weapon has a serial number on it, a manufacturer on it, it says where it is made. So clearly, Mexico is not going to give over weapons to the U.S. for tracing which clearly don't come from here. We had an ICE official, special agent in charge here in Phoenix tell us, and I'm quoting from him, “Not every weapon seized in Mexico has a serial number. Those are not submitted. Only we trace weapons with U.S. markings.

So to summarize, ninety percent of the traced weapons that Mexico decides to give back to us come from the United States – a sample which doesn’t include the vast majority of the weapons found. Seventy-three percent outside the mark is very selective truth-telling by the mainstream media.

Sun Tzu was never wiser than when he said “All warfare is based on deception.” So when Ben Tracy (CBS News), Andrea Mitchell (NBC News) and myriad hosts from CNN all claim that the Mexican drug war is the fault of lax gun laws in the United States, you know they're all reading from the same playbook.

Is Our Flag on the Moon Still Standing?

Is the U.S. flag planted on the moon 40 years ago still standing? That's just one of many questions researchers hope will be answered this year by new pictures of old Apollo landing sites.

A plan to photograph the historic lunar locations with NASA's new Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO), revealed yesterday on SPACE.com, should be a boon to lunar archaeologists who aim to solve some longstanding mysteries and also get a historic-landmark designation for the Apollo 11 touchdown site.

The first moon landing by the Apollo 11 crew took place July 20, 1969.

The new photos, expected in coming days, weeks and months, will be of keen interest to archaeologists involved in the Lunar Legacy Project. They contend that Apollo 11's Tranquility Base should be seen as an anthropological site and deserves preservation for all present and future inhabitants of the Earth.

"Even after our research, I still think we don't know exactly what is on the Tranquility Base site and how it is placed," said Beth O'Leary in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces.

O'Leary created the NASA-funded project to make the Apollo 11 Landing site on the moon as a National Historic Landmark.

The idea of cultural resource management in space is also highlighted in a new book, "The Handbook of Space Engineering, Archaeology and Heritage" that she co-edited with Ann Darrin of Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, Maryland.

What is the condition of Tranquility base after 40 years? Was the American flag blown over on the Eagle's ascent and is it now a bleached skeleton? What are the relatively long term effects of the lunar environment on human artifacts?

All good questions, O'Leary pointed out.

"We need to know where our material culture resides on the moon. Many parts and pieces of our time, certainly in the era of the early robotics on the moon, are missing from the database," O'Leary told SPACE.com.

Although the process of taking high resolution images is intensive and costly, O'Leary said, the possibility exists to locate humankind's lunar leftovers precisely, assess their condition and most importantly decide then what and how to preserve this record for future generations.

"We have a chance to assess the totality of our time on the moon so far and plan for the future now," O'Leary concluded. FOX News

Great Day: A Liberal is Called a Racist

A liberal got the race card played on them today!! How does it feel Senator Boxer! We on the right are use to it and you, yes you finally got a good dose today from a good conservative black man, Harry Alford, CEO of the National Black Chamber of Commerce and I might add you deserved every word thrown your way. Misguided liberals such as you are always trying to put people into certain groups and pit blacks against whites. You were exposed today. What a great day. Hope you didn't enjoy it, Barbara!! The president and CEO of the National Black Chamber of Commerce accused Sen. Barbara Boxer on Thursday of racially condescending to him during an Environment and Public Works Committee hearing.

Republican members of the committee had sought the testimony of Harry C. Alford, an opponent of a climate change bill that narrowly passed in the House.

Alford said in his opening statement that he spoke on behalf of his organization when he argued that the bill would have devastating consequences for small and minority-owned businesses.

But he took offense when Boxer countered his statement by quoting an NAACP resolution that approved the climate change bill and putting it on the record.

Clearly agitated, Alford asked why Boxer would cite that group's resolution.

"Sir, they passed it. They passed it," Boxer responded. "Now, also, if that isn't interesting to you, we'll quote John Grant, who is the CEO of 100 Black Men of Atlanta."

Alford protested that Boxer was condescending to him.

"I'm the National Black Chamber of Commerce and you're trying to put up some other black group to pit against me," he said angrily.

Boxer claimed that if Grant was there, he would be proud she was quoting him.

"He should have been invited," Alford exclaimed. "All that's condescending and I don't like it. It's racial. I don't like it. I take offense to it. As an African-American and a veteran of this country, I take offense to that."

When Boxer asked if he was offended that she would quote Grant, Alford said, "You're quoting some other black man. Why don't you quote some other Asian. You are being racial here. And I think you're getting to a path here that's going to explode."

Boxer defended herself by saying she believes statements by the NAACP and 100 Black Men, who acknowledge the threat of global warming, are relevant.

"There is definitely differing opinions in the black community, just as there are in my community," she said, adding that she was trying to show the diversity of support behind the climate change bill.

But that didn't satisfy Alford.

"We are referring to the experts regardless of their color," he said. "And for someone to tell me, an African-American, college-educated veteran of the United States Army that I must contend with some other black group and put aside everything else in there. This has nothing to do with the NAACP and really has nothing to do with the National Black Chamber of Commerce. We're talking energy and that road the chair went down, I think, is god-awful."

Boxer's office later declined to comment about the exchange. FOX News

The Dog in Obama

I was walking my dog tonight and noticed that he stopped in all the usual spots to water those things which he thought were needing his attention. Night after night the same spots got his attention. No matter how hard I tried to lead him to a different spot he would invariably go to the same places. Suddenly, I got the message--these were his spots and he wanted to water them to be sure he was remembered, so he marked then again and again as in nights before. Obama's recent budget proposal reminded me of my dog. He has to water those who supported him in the past---his favorite spots, acorn,environmental activist, labor unions, etc. and more. I told my wife about our beloved dogs behavior and she said, "its just the way their little minds work", boy did she say a mouthful. The little minds are active now---protect your trees. Obama doesn't want to spread the wealth---that's a myth---he only wants to water the old familiar spots with your water.

Guns and the Left

While reading various posts about the recent shootings in NY I came across a thoughtful and interesting post at Right On Blog entitled "On Guns and Recent Events". In the post James points out the typical reactions on the left to gun violence and their standard call for more gun controls and their habit of always pointing the finger at the gun and not at the individual responsible for the violence. They also have a way of twisting the events and blaming the right in the country for gun violence.

While commenting on James' post I remembered the day JFK was shot in Dallas. I was attending Northeast Louisiana State in Monroe and staying with my grandmother. My morning classes were over and I was taking a short nap that fateful afternoon. Grandmother came into the room and woke me up and told me to come quick that Kennedy had been shot. Needless to say, I like most Americans was glued to the T.V. for the rest of the day. Only three major news channels in those days---ABC, NBC and CBS. I quickly noticed a developing theme. One of the major news anchors, I don't recall which one, commented that Dallas had been a hot-bed of right wing activity in recent months. The vast Right-Wing-Conspiracy was being developed and the theme spread to all three networks. Everyone, myself included, believed it. Then Oswald was captured and information about him began to come out. Shocker---he was not a reactionary right wing loon, but rather a committed leftest. He had lived in Russia and was a member of a pro-Castro organization called "committee for fair play for Cuba". Suddenly, the vast right-wing conspiracy was gone. But did a left-wing conspiracy take its place--logic would dictate that--no, that did not ever happen. The silence on this was deafening. The national news media had long before that time shown their colors, but to me this was the first time I really took notice of the bias they expressed under the banner of "Objectivity". Finally I saw the truth. And the truth was an ugly reality.

I came across a short article on the Kennedy and that fateful day in Dallas, its basically the reactions of a left leaning newsman recalling the event. Decided to include it in this post:

I was on the copy desk, far from any action, but many things are indelible in my memory.
We were living in Largo. I was about to leave for my shift, which was afternoon-evening, when a neighbor came running to the door, shouting for us to turn on our television. That’s when I learned he had been shot, but not that he was dead.
I had to leave for work and there was no radio in the car. I took East Bay Drive, U.S. 19 and Haines Road to the Allendale area, and then drove through Allendale to Fourth Street. When I reached the corner, I saw a funeral home with its flag flying at half-staff, and I didn’t need a radio.
The St. Petersburg Times newsroom was in controlled pandemonium. I don’t recall whether I handled any assassination copy that day; more likely, I was editing state and local news.
But I was standing at the teletype when the first flash came in that a suspected Marxist, Lee Harvey Oswald, was being held in connection with the shooting. Times Publisher Nelson Poynter was standing nearby when I announced that.
His face fell.
"Oh, no," he said. "I was hoping it would be a right-winger."
In the days that followed, many of us helped ourselves to souvenirs: the half-tone engravings of John Kennedy that had accumulated in the library files. There came a time when we needed to illustrate articles that referred to the time, and we had to have new half-tones made because the ones already made had been so depleted.
We were expecting our second child any day. Names had already been chosen, but there was no doubt that should it be a boy, his name would be John. That’s how Daniel became his middle name when he was born a week later."The key line in Dyckman's statement is "I WAS HOPING IT WOULD BE A RIGHT-WINGER." There was no way to spin this into a right-wing conspiracy because of the over-whelming evidence to the contrary. The left however, did manage to get stronger gun-control laws as a result of the events in Dallas. No more mail-order guns. One last note. I got my first gun a 22 rifle, when I was 11 years old---purchased it through the Sears and Roebuck Catalog. One of the happiest days of my life was when the mail carrier delivered it to the farm.

Obama's Birth Place

Unidentified sources inside the White House are quietly revealing, what has just been a rumor up until this time, that Obama may have indeed been born in Kenya. It is believed that these revelations are coming now, as a result of the ongoing effort by some groups to get the original copy of his birth certificate made public. At this moment the complete details are sketchy, but some details are emerging. It now appears that Ann Dunham (Mrs Barack Hussein Obama, Sr) had returned to Kenya with her husband of only 6 month in mid-July of 1961 to meet members of his Kenyan family. It is thought that while on this visit Ann Dunham learned of Obama seniors earlier marriage to a woman named Kezia in 1954 and that the two were the parents of four children. According to White House sources Ann, distraught and shaken leaves the senior Obama and goes to the nearby capital city of Nairobi and fearing for her life at that time seeks refuse at the American Embassy there. At first the embassy officials were somewhat reluctant to admit the young wife, but upon hearing her story of the death threats leveled at her by the family of Kezia, Barack seniors true wife they decide to give the young obviously pregnant girl asylum in the embassy. According to recently released embassy records the embassy was over-flowing with American nationals at that particular time due to a sharp spike in black nationalist activities directed at whites in the country. Because of over-crowding in the embassy proper, Ann was given shelter in a small shed in the rear of the embassy, a shed formerly reserved for livestock. The livestock had been removed several months before. It was in this former stable, that Ann unexpectedly gives birth to Barack Hussein Obama II, the current President of the United States. The anonymous sources at the White House are quick to point out two things: first, President Obama was born on American soil (U.S. Embassy grounds are considered under international agreements to be part of the United States); second, the ONE was born in a stable (the source was quick to emphasize this fact) for what reason we are not sure! Finally the issue is settled, Obama was born on American soil with his humble beginnings in a stable---the message here well I'll leave that to you!

John McCain Sides with Liberals Again!

Here he goes again. McCain is again siding with the Democrats and the Obama Administration and calling for more cuts in the funding for advanced F-22 jets. These are front line aircraft capable of avoiding enemy radar and equipped with the latest electronic jamming devices. These cuts come at a time when China is going full bore ahead with its development and production of first line jet aircraft. This joint strike aircraft is a vital part of United States strategic defense program. McCain an ex-fighter pilot himself seems to have forgotten the value of defensive and offensive fighters---this plane is capable of both.



WASHINGTON -- Sen. John McCain, in an unusual alliance with the Obama administration, moved Monday to eliminate $1.75 billion recently inserted into the proposed 2010 defense budget for more fighter jets from Lockheed Martin.

The Arizona Republican, along with Michigan Democrat Carl Levin, filed an amendment to cut the extra money for seven more F-22's. The Senate Armed Services Committee last month narrowly approved the additional funding requested by Georgia Republican Saxby Chambliss.

McCain and Levin, the committee's chairman, voted against the additional funds. The full Senate may vote on the defense spending bill this week. The House last month voted to include a $369 million down payment for 12 additional fighters to its version of the defense bill.

The White House reiterated its threat to veto legislation that includes money to continue production of the radar-evading jets beyond the current request of 187 planes.

"We do not need these planes," President Barack Obama wrote in a letter to McCain and Levin Monday. "To continue to procure additional F-22s would be to waste valuable resources that should be more usefully employed to provide our troops with weapons that they actually do need."

McCain, who last year lost his bid for the White House to Obama, on the Senate floor said he will strongly recommend the administration veto the defense bill if lawmakers don't act to end F-22 production.

Supporters of the F-22 have said capping production at 187 aircraft is too risky with potential adversaries like Iran, North Korea and China looming.

McCain disputed such arguments. Focusing on timely delivery of the Joint Strike Fighter, also built by Lockheed Martin, is in the best interest of the country and will be a weapon system that can meet future threats, he said.

In a separate letter to Senate leaders Monday, Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said the Joint Strike Fighter is "more capable in a number of areas such as electronic warfare and combating enemy air defenses."

Chambliss and other lawmakers who represent districts where F-22 production jobs are at stake have lobbied hard to keep the program. Lockheed's primary manufacturing plant is in Georgia, but key parts of the plane also are made in Texas and California.

McCain said the rationale for keeping a weapon system should never be about job creation, but about defending the nation.

The extra money would extend production of the F-22 beyond the 187 aircraft that Gates says are needed. Gates has argued that buying any more of the jets, which cost $140 million a piece, will undermine the Pentagon's ability to increase the size of U.S. ground forces and purchase gear for fighting unconventional wars against insurgents.

wide-spread. In desperation, the

President will order regular army units into

the most seriously affected regions. These

measures will meet with success in those

places where large numbers of troops can be

concentrated, however by this time the

violence has spread to the suburbs

and to some rural areas. The situation is

now, OUT-OF-CONTROL! The military leaders

will be the first to recognize this and will take

action against those in power, who they

now hold responsible for the cascading

violence now sweeping the nation.

The revolution is over and a military coup has

installed a new civilian government.

Unchecked this could be Obama's road to

REVOLUTION.

Recently I came across a post on Right Truth entitled "Iranian Missle Watch and Israel" a very detailed and informative post and I certainly recommend this as a worthwhile read. Below is a summary of my comments on this post:

Should the Israeli decide to take out the Iranian nuclear facilities I feel they have the ability to take out many of the key sites. The big ones at Natanz and Bushehr being the most important. In the past the Israeli have come up with unexpected ways to accomplish their goals. I'm old enough to remember the "Six Day War" when the Egyptians blockaded the Straits of Tiran, thereby shutting down the Israeli port of Elat and denying Israel an exit to the Red Sea (Israel could not use the Suez Canal at that time). The Israeli responded with an unexpected air strike on the Egyptian Air Force, by sending their airforce some 300 or so miles out into the Mediterranean Sea north of Egypt and coming in from that direction, avoiding Egyptian radar focused to the east and at the same time sending their tank forces into the Sinai and by-passing the fixed Egyptian positions in the desert--theirs were classic moves and well thought out.

Bebe, sees a clear and present danger from Iran and knows that continued negotiations with Iran are futile(Obama is yet to see this), and are simply stalling tactics to gain more time to complete their nuclear program. Everyone seems to know this except Obama and many on the left who have put their heads in the sand. I suspect however, if the truth was really known, that Obama and those on the left actually favor the Arabs (and I should say Persians) in this conflict. I see nothing in Obama's background that would lead him to support the Israeli positions. If I had to bet, I contend that he is anti-Israel and would love to see the Jewish state disappear. Many, many on the left hold this position and make no secret about it.

I think the onrushing events will soon overtake Netanyahu and he will be forced to act. Events are moving quickly and the "Dogs of War" will soon be released. Whether waves or ripples will come from the attack reminds to be seen, but from the Israeli perspective I feel they see few if any options.

Marijuana And A Utopian Dream

Recently, I came across a post on Sugar n Spice concerning a recent interview Obama gave to "60 Minutes". In the interview Obama is seen giggling and laughing and is called on it by the reporter, to which he replies "well you need a little gallows humor" or something to that effect. Glad he mentioned hanging and not some conservative---know that would have created something of a fire-storm. Sugar mentioned in her post that Barack looked and acted like he was high---the giggles, laughs, etc. Guess the truth will never be known---his actions did raise some eye-brows, however.

Anyway after reading Sugar's post and viewing the "60 Minutes" video, I got to thinking about by days some years ago and my frequent visits with Maryjane (marijuana). Often I would come in after a long hard day at the office change clothes and go to my friends house. There Tim, my friend, and I would relax and fire-up the old bong and enjoy the sultry Florida evening. During those long (and they were long) evenings we would discuss and solve most of the world's problems. However, I did notice the next day that all the solutions had slipped away and not to be retrieved until our next visit to Maryjanes place. During the trips Tim and I saw somethings differently--I would focus on the small (like looking at the details of the bark on a tree), while my friend would focus on the large (the whole forest and beyond). I was looking to the infinity of the small and he the infinity of the large. He often said, "where the big meets the small there you would find the answer to it all." Tim is gone now, died at the young age of 44. I miss my friend. Enough of the reminiscing, back to Sugar's post on Obama.

While reading Sugar's post I was reminded of Jonahan Swift's, Gulliver's Travels. And 3 or the 4 stories in his satire. The first being the best known of his visit to the land of the Lilliputians---the examination of the small and seemingly petty things in life. And next the visit to the land of the giants (the Brobdingnagians)---holding the magnifying glass up to the world and pointing out the imperfections. And finally, the land of the horses (the Houyhnhnms)---there Gulliver saw the perfection in nature, a Utopia. So as I read Sugar's post I was wondering what Obama was thinking of, if indeed, he was in a cloud of smoke--the Lilliputians, the Brobdingnagians, or the Houyhnhnms. Suddenly, the reality hit me---of course it was the Houyhnhnms! There he would have found his vision of a "Socialist Utopia." The perfect world which all liberals dream of and wish to impose on us all for our own good. Or maybe he sees something more ominous---he is Gulliver and we, well we are the Lilliputians.

Recently I came across the below short comment by Pat Buchanan and thought it worthy of passing along. Obama's acted quickly to prop-up a leftist dictator in Latin American while taking almost a week to show any support for the freedom fighters in Iran and then only taking that step after being pushed into it by the likes of Hillary Clinton and others. I can only see two possible reasons for Obama's lack of action on Iran: first- he is so indecisive that its takes others to make decisions for him, or that he is cowardly and afraid to rock the foreign policy boat. Both of these present problems for us down the road. And as to the situation in Honduras, the reason for the swift action here is clear and leaves little room for doubt, Obama is a leftist and its only natural that he support of leftist dictator. Reminds me of the Democratic party support for the Sandinista's during Reagan's years where Reagan and Ollie North had to circumvent the restrictions imposed by the Democrats and help the Contra's retake their country from a communist dictator, Daniel Ortegua.

The ouster had been ordered by the Supreme Court and approved by the Congress, as Zelaya was attempting an illegal referendum to change the Honduran constitution so he could run for another term.

Will someone please explain why this bloodless transfer of power to the civilian legislator first in line for the presidency, in a sovereign nation, is any business of the United Nations, the Organization of American States, Hugo Chavez, the Castro brothers or Barack Obama? For all have denounced the "coup" and demanded Zelaya's immediate return.

The hypocrisy here is astounding.

Chavez was imprisoned for his bloody coup attempt in Venezuela in 1992. And to have Fidel Castro's dictatorship of half a century denouncing a glitch in the democratic process of a Western Hemisphere republic is beyond parody.

What percentage of the 200 member nations of that septic tank of anti-Americanism, the United Nations, are democracies? How many leaders of its member states came to power through free and fair elections?

Pat definitely has this one right and he remembers the days of Reagan and Ollie North, both great Americans.
